WHAT CLIENT TYPES DO YOU SERVE?
We believe that functional communication is key! The majority of clients served by Sweet Talkers are children and youth with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We also proudly serve clients with developmental disabilities, langauge disorders, and speech-sound (articulation) errors. Kylie often provides support for clients with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs.
ARE YOU ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS?
Kylie and Monique both work part-time for school districts as well as seeing clients at Sweet Talkers. At this time, we have full schedules with limited availability, but we encourage you to send us an email if you're interested in services, and we will do our best to determine if our availability would meet your needs.
DO YOU HAVE A WAITLIST?
No. Our availability is limited and we find that waitlists often encourage families to wait for us to contact them, instead of seeking out another SLP who could start immediately. We know how important it is for you to find the right clinicians, and we support you in finding the best fit for you and your family! If you believe that is us, and no other will do; please check back in monthly for updates on availability.
WHAT FUNDING SOURCES CAN I USE?
Sweet Talkers is very familiar with accessing Autism Funds, and School-Aged Extended Therapies (At-Home Program) funds. We also write quotes and letters of support for potential clients who believe they would qualify for charity funds. Private pay options are available for those who exhaust other areas of funding, or who wish to submit their paid invoices to their extended health benefits.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Sweet Talkers specializes in home and community based services. We also provide assesment and therapy services to private schools upon their request. We are based in Burnaby, but travel to surrounding areas, as availability allows.
DO YOU CHARGE TRAVEL FEES?
Yes. Travel fees are based on your location and vary from client-to-client. Please contact us for more information regarding our availability and pricing.
